After taking a week off last week, I came back to the garden refreshed and ready to work again. I spent part of my week away from markets cleaning up my greenhouse. Time well spent I think, since I now just walk through it to enjoy it, instead of avoiding going in.
Harvest this week was wonderful. The crops I harvested yesterday were planted right before we got a slow half inch of rain, and didn't experience any droughts or floods. So they are tender and crisp, green and a nice size. I recommend any of the greens this week. But I am particularly excited about the baby spinach.
I started back at the farmers markets today with Grand Bend and will be returning to Forest and Goderich at the end of the week. Unfortunately, I don't have enough help to manage to continue with Komoka Market right now, but if someone is looking for some part time work, especially at farmers markets, they can contact me!
