The last three weeks hav

e flown by so fast! The farmers markets have started in Goderich, Grand Bend, and the first Forest Farmers Market starts tomorrow. It’s perfect timing too. I have lots of arugula ready, the radishes are sizing up just in the right time, and the lettuce is beautiful! I have a full selection of product from the Exeter hothouse.

The plants are thriving in and out of the greenhouse, which always makes me happy! The weather, as always, has been predictably unpredictable. But after 20 years of farm markets, I know how to layer up and stay warm all day both in the field and at the market. Tomorrow I will be set up at the Forest Farmers Market. If you are able to come out between 9-1 at the corner of Jefferson and Main St. (we will return to King St next week). I will be showing Erin the ropes. Attendees of the Forest Farmers Market last year might remember her own stand: Erin’s Tiny Farm. This year she will be running my booth, so she can focus on building her homestead, and I can focus on working on the farm.
